Panel Review AI code review adds four-model checks for risky designs, diffs and commits made by coding agents. Local gates classify sensitive edits; the hosted panel returns severity-tagged findings and a recommended action. It supports Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Copilot CLI, VS Code agent, Gemini CLI and Antigravity. Verdict: it is an extra checkpoint, not a guarantee that code is safe.
Panel Review is a coding-agent review service from TruVerifAI. When an agent submits a design question or proposed code change, four frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI assess it independently. They then challenge disagreements and return a structured verdict with severity-tagged findings, an agreement score and an action such as proceed, request changes or escalate to a person.
The timing is its defining distinction. A pull-request bot usually comments after code has been written. Panel Review is designed to put a checkpoint inside an agent’s workflow, before selected risky writes or commits. That may give a developer an opportunity to revise an approach before it reaches a review branch; it does not replace tests or human approval.
The gates and installer are MIT-licensed, with no runtime dependencies, according to the vendor. The hosted panel itself is not open source. That distinction matters when assessing what can be inspected locally and what remains a hosted service.
No hands-on notes or screenshots were supplied for this listing, so this assessment is based on published product details rather than a claimed trial. Its clearest fit is a second opinion before selected agent changes; the sharpest caveat is fail-open behavior. Keep human review and CI checks in the path.
The local gate and hosted review handle data differently. TruVerifAI says the classifier runs on-device and sends hashes and category labels, not source files. A hosted review does send the submitted diff, question or context to the service and its model providers. “Local gates” does not mean every review stays on the machine.
Content persistence is on by default for dashboard history and can be switched off, according to the vendor. TruVerifAI also says it does not train models on submitted content; these are company statements, not an independent security audit. Check internal policy before sending proprietary code or customer data.
Another limit is the fail-open design. The vendor says a server outage or gate error lets the write or commit proceed with a visible notice. That avoids blocking development because of a service fault, but it also means the gate is not a fail-closed security control. Teams with mandatory release policies still need their own required checks and human approvals.
Verified October 2026: the official page lists Free at $0 with 50 credits, Basic at $12/month for 100, and Pro at $30/month for 300. Unused monthly and top-up credits roll over. Each call carries a 0.5-credit platform fee; usage varies by model and task. Official estimates are about one credit for synthesize and 2.5 for deliberate or audit. Bring-your-own-model use has separate provider charges.
Credits are not a fixed price per reviewed file. Check the in-product estimate before budgeting. See TruVerifAI’s official pricing page for current terms.
Skip it if your requirement is a hard security barrier that blocks every risky change even when a remote service is unavailable. The documented fail-open behavior does not meet that requirement by itself. It is also a poor fit for repositories whose code cannot be sent to external model providers, unless your team has approved the bring-your-own-key or model arrangement and its data terms. Teams without AI coding agents may have little reason to install the local gates.
For teams it suits, use it as one review pass—not as a replacement for tests, static analysis, code owners or human approval. The installer offers a confirmation step and controls to pause or remove gates, but the team still owns its change policy.

It is designed to review selected designs, diffs or commits inside an AI coding-agent workflow, before the change reaches later pull-request review. The agent must submit the context for review, and the local gate applies to configured risk conditions. It does not replace pull-request tools, tests or human approval.
The official site lists Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor IDE and CLI, Copilot CLI, VS Code agent, Gemini CLI and Antigravity. It says other MCP clients can use the review tools with a Git pre-commit fallback. Check the official product page before installing, since supported integrations can change.
The vendor says the local gate does not send the repository or file tree. A hosted review does transmit the diff, design question or context that the agent submits, and the review service uses third-party models. Treat submitted code as external processing and check your organization’s data policy before enabling it.
TruVerifAI documents a fail-open behavior: when its server is unreachable or a gate errors, the write or commit proceeds and a visible notice reports that it was not gated. This reduces disruption but is not equivalent to a fail-closed control. Keep independent required checks for releases that must stop on service failure.
As listed October 2026, the Free plan costs $0 and starts with 50 credits. Basic is $12 per month for 100 credits, and Pro is $30 per month for 300. Calls consume credits according to the selected models and task complexity, plus a 0.5-credit platform fee, so the number of reviews varies.
